Knit with Aabhar – Criss Cross Stitch Pattern

Pattern Description

The Criss Cross knitting stitch pattern is quite similar to the classic Herringbone stitch and resembles a woven fabric. It is also popular as the Wicker Stitch because of its similarity to a woven, wicker basket pattern, like the Woven Cable stitch. You can also find this woven section in another pattern, Plaited Rib, where the rib is basically made of crisscrossing stitches.

Just like the Herringbone stitch, you can opt to use a knitting needle one size bigger than the standard expected for a particular yarn. It’s a two-row repeat, a non-reversible pattern that creates a textured knitted fabric.

The Criss Cross Stitch can be a great choice for blankets, scarves, and cowls as it lays flat.
