Interlocked Circles crochet stitch features lacy crochet circles interlocked with each other, creating an openwork and delicate fabric.

The pattern repeats over 7 stitches and 4 rows. It is a beautiful stitch for summer projects. You can work this stitch with different types of yarn, but it will look best with thinner yarn or a cotton thread.

Pattern Instructions

Foundation ch: (any multiple of 7) + 6, plus 3.
For example, start with (7 x 2) + 6 + 3 = 23 ch for a sample swatch.
Note: To make this crochet pattern, you need a minimum of 16 foundation chains.

Row 1 (RS):	1dc in 4th ch from hook, * ch5, sk next 3 ch, 1dc in next ch, ch2, sk next 2 ch, 1dc in next ch; rep from * to last 5 sts, ch5, sk next 3 ch, 1dc in last 2 ch, turn.
Row 2:	ch5, [1dc, ch2, 1dc] in next ch5-sp, ch2, 1dc2tog in next 2 dc skipping the ch2-sp in between, ch2; rep from * to last ch5-sp, [1dc, ch2, 1dc] in last ch5-sp, ch1, 1tr in t-ch, turn.
Row 3:	ch3, 1dc in next dc, ch2, 1dc in next dc, * ch5, 1dc in next dc, ch2, 1dc in next dc; rep from * to end, 1dc in t-ch, turn.
Row 4:	ch7, 1dc2tog in next 2 dc skipping the ch2-sp in between, * ch2, [1dc, ch2, 1dc] in next ch5-sp, ch2, 1dc2tog in next 2 dc skipping the ch2-sp in between; rep from * to last st, ch3, 1tr in t-ch, turn.
Row 5:	ch3, 1dc in next ch3-sp, * ch5, 1dc in next dc, ch2, 1dc in next dc; rep from * to t-ch, ch5, 2dc in t-ch, turn.

Repeat Rows 2 – 5 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
