Pattern Description
Granite Slip Stitch knitting pattern features a mesh of horizontal slipped stitches and a vertical single column of stockinette stitches. It is quite visually similar to Granite Lace Stitch, an openwork knitting pattern.
The free knitting pattern can be an excellent choice for making large fabric projects such as blankets and afghans.

Pattern Instructions
CO (Multiple of 6 stitches) + 5 stitches. For example, you can cast on (6 x 3) + 5 = 23 stitches to knit a sample swatch.
Row 1 (RS): | * p2, k1; rep from * to last 2 sts, p2. |
Row 2: | * k2, p1; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2. |
Row 3: | p1, * sl 3 wyif, p1, k1, p1; rep from * to last 4 sts, sl 3 wyif, p1. |
Row 4: | k1, sl 3 wyib, * k1, p1, k1, sl 3 wyib; rep from * to last st, k1. |
Row 5: | Rep Row 1. |
Row 6: | Rep Row 2. |
Row 7: | p1, * p1, k1, p1, sl 3 wyif; rep from * to last 4 sts, p1, k1, p2. |
Row 8: | k2, p1, k1, * sl 3 wyib, k1, p1, k1; rep from * to last st, k1. |
