Knit with Aabhar – 6-Stitch Cable Pattern

Pattern Description

6-Stitch Cable Pattern is another basic cable pattern similar to the 4-Stitch Cable Pattern that’s easy to learn and master. Unlike the 4-stitch cable, this pattern is worked over six stitches.

There are two possible variations for the 6-Stitch Cable Pattern – Right Twist Cable and Left Twist Cable. The name essentially defines the direction in which the cable twists. Other than the changing directions, there can be variations in the length of the twists. You can knit a 6-stitch cable pattern that is worked over in 4 rows (as shown in the post), 6 rows, or even 16 rows. The number of rows defines the length of each twist of the cable. Ultimately, the instructions for creating the cable are the same, either C6B or C6F, the difference comes in the number of row repeats.

It is a non-reversible cable knitting pattern that you can knit as a front panel in pullovers or cardigans. You can also knit repeats of the 6-Stitch Cable to give more texture to the fabric for projects such as pillow covers or socks.
