Granite Rib Knitting Stitch | Knit with Aabhar
Pattern Description
Granite Rib knitting stitch is a distinct textured pattern that creates a diagonal or chevron-like effect alternating with stockinette columns.
The pattern repeats over 4 rows and gives a nice appearance with smooth columns alternating with braided diagonal lines.

Making cable stitch without using a cable needle:
C2F (Cable 2 Front):
- Knit into front of second stitch on left needle.
- Knit the first stitch.
- Slip both stitches off the left needle together.
Special stitch:
k3-twist:
- Knit 3rd st from left hand needle, without slipping it off.
- Knit 2nd st from left hand needle, without slipping it off.
- Knit 1st st from left hand needle, without slipping it off.
- Slip all 3 sts off left hand needle together.
Pattern Instructions
CO (Multiple of 8 stitches) + 2 stitches. For example, you can cast on (8 x 3) + 2 = 26 stitches to knit a sample swatch.
| Row 1 (RS): | k2, * [C2F] x 3 times, k2; rep from * to end. |
| Row 2: | Purl. |
| Row 3: | k2, * [k3-twist] x 2 times, k2; rep from * to end. |
| Row 4: | Purl. |
