Woven Shell Crochet Stitch creates an amazingly unique texture that resembles cable stitches woven together. Even though there are multiple overlapping stitches, the crocheted fabric does not become rigid. It is quite flexible and has a good drape.
Although the crochet stitch looks complex, it only uses the basic crochet stitches, namely double crochet, single crochet, and chain stitches. There are many long loops and crossovers, but once you make a few rows, you can make this beautiful stitch in no time. It is an advanced beginner crochet stitch that will certainly expand your skills portfolio with a gorgeous addition. Woven Shell crochet stitch is a 6-stitch, 2-row repeat.
You can make the Woven Shell crochet stitch using any yarn weight, but it will look the best with lighter weight yarn. If you use a glossy yarn, it will make the woven stitches pop out more.
