Crochet with Aabhar – Lacy Zig Zag Ripple Crochet Stitch
Lacy Zig Zag Ripple Crochet Stitch is a quick and easy variation of the classic ripple stitch. Unlike the traditional crochet ripple stitch, it has more texture and an embossed line of stitches running along with each ripple. The ridges in the pattern give it some definition without compromising on the lightness of the crocheted fabric.
There is variation in the stitch heights from row to row, but it remains the same in each pattern repeat. The embossed ridges are created when you make the back post single crochet stitches. It’s not the easiest of crochet stitches, but it is a repeat of two rows. After repeating the pattern a few times, you will feel comfortable with the stitch. Each ripple motif repeats over 17 + 23 stitches.
Because of its lacy texture, Lacy Zig Zag Ripple Crochet Stitch is perfect for making afghans, blankets, and others with large fabric requirements. It also works well in wearables like summer blouses and scarves. Working this stitch with a variegated yarn will certainly liven up any project.
