Arched Rib Knitting Stitch | Knit with Aabhar
Pattern Description
Arched Rib knitting stitch is a highly textured and much more complex variation of the classic rib pattern. Each rib resembles a column of repeating arches. These vaulted shapes are made with the loop stitch.
You can feature this knitting pattern in various projects such as pullovers, cushions, and cardigans.

Special stitches:
loop-st: Insert right needle under 3rd horizontal bar between the last stitch and the next stitch on left needle from front to back and draw a long loop by wrapping working yarn around right needle.
k4tog-bf:
- k4tog through back loops, without slipping stitches from left needle.
- Knit the same 4 stitches together through front loops.
- Slip those 4 stitches off left needle.
Pattern Instructions
CO (Multiple of 4 stitches) + 2 stitches + 2 edge stitches. For example, you can cast on (4 x 4) + 2 + 2 = 20 stitches to knit a sample swatch.

| Foundation Row 2: | edge st, * k2, p2; rep from * to last 3 sts, k2, edge st. |
| Row 1 (RS): | edge st, * p2, loop-st, k2, loop-st; rep from * to last 3 sts, p2, edge st. |
| Row 2: | edge st, * k2, sl 1 wyif, p2, sl 1 wyif; rep from * to last 3 sts, k2, edge st. |
| Row 3: | edge st, * p2, k4tog-bf; rep from * to last 3 sts, p2, edge st. |
| Row 4: | edge st, * k2, p2; rep from * to last 3 sts, k2, edge st. |
| Row 5: | edge st, * p2, k2; rep from * to last 3 sts, p2, edge st. |
| Row 6: | Rep Row 4. |
