The 3-Stitch Twisted Rib is a rib knitting pattern creating twisted stitches with a type of cable stitch. The ribbed columns are created on a background of reverse stockinette stitches.
It is an intermediate-level knitting pattern that can be a good design option for home decor projects. Unlike conventional rib knitting patterns, it does not shrink much.

C3 (Cross – 3) –
- Knit into front of 3rd stitch on the left needle.
- Knit the 1st stitch in usual way and slip it off left needle.
- Knit the 2nd stitch in usual way and slip both 2nd and 3rd stitches off left needle together.
CO (Multiple of 5 stitches) + 2 stitches. For example, you can cast on (5 x 4) + 2 = 22 stitches to knit a sample swatch.
|Row 1 (WS):||k2, * p3, k2; rep from * to end.|
|Row 2:||p2, * C3, p2; rep from * to end.|
