Pattern Instructions


Foundation ch: (Multiple of 4) + 1, plus 3 beg ch.
For example, start with (4 x 5) + 1 + 3 = 24 ch for a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1sc in same st, * ch3, sk next 3 ch, (1dc, 1sc) in next ch; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 2:ch3 (does not count as a st), sk 1st sc, (1dc, 1sc) in next dc, * ch3, sk next ch3-sp and sc, (1dc, 1sc) in next dc; rep from * to end, sk t-ch, turn.

Repeat Row 2 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
