Pattern Description

Tassel knitting stitch makes textured, non-reversible fabric featuring motifs that clearly resemble classic tassels that you would attach at the ends of scarves and wraps.

This one will be great for knitting sweaters and cardigans as it creates a fabric with clear right and wrong sides.

CO	Cast on
k	Knit
p	Purl
p2tog	Purl 2 stitches together
rep	Repeat
RS	Right side
st (s)	Stitch (es)
WS	Wrong side

Special stitch:

draw-loop – Insert right needle between 4th and 5th stitches on left needle from front to back and draw a loop by wrapping working yarn around right needle.

Pattern Instructions

CO (Multiple of 6 sts) + 1 st. For example, you can cast on (6 x 4) + 1 = 25 stitches to knit a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):	* k4, p2; rep from * to last st, k1.
Row 2:	p1, * k2, p4; rep from * to end.
Row 3:	Rep Row 1.
Row 4:	Rep Row 2.
Row 5:	* draw-loop, k1, p2, k3; rep from * to last st, k1.
Row 6:	p1 * p3, k2, p2tog; rep from * to end.
Row 7:	k1, * p2, k4; rep from * to end.
Row 8:	* p4, k2; rep from * to last st, p1.
Row 9:	Rep Row 7.
Row 10:	Rep Row 8.
Row 11:	k1, * k2, draw-loop, k1, p2, k1; rep from * to end.
Row 12:	* p1, k2, p2tog, p2; rep from * to last st, p1.
