Crochet with Aabhar – Wallpaper Cluster Stitch

Wallpaper Cluster Crochet Stitch is a classic stitch that belongs to the cluster stitch family of crochet stitches. The single and double crochet stitches make the alternating clusters pop out more than a conventional cluster stitch pattern. The crocheted fabric created with Wallpaper Cluster stitch is highly textured, thick, and quite volumetric in appearance.

Cluster stitches are basically formed by gathering a group of stitches at the top, bottom, or even both. In all types of similar stitches, clusters are the most important motif. These clusters can be made with varying numbers of stitches, giving each one a different appearance. Clusters can be made using single crochet, double crochet, or treble crochet, and they are named accordingly. Here, clusters are made with double crochets in the Wallpaper Cluster stitch. So, as it uses 3 double crochet to create the cluster, it is called a three dc cluster.

Wallpaper Cluster Crochet Stitch is a 4-row repeat, and each motif, with a 3-dc cluster and dc, repeats over four stitches.

It is a decorative crochet stitch that can be used to make various projects, such as blankets, dishcloths, or pillow covers. You can use any type of yarn for this stitch and make alternate rows in different colors to make it vibrant.
