Over the last two weeks, we have shared free crochet patterns for Crochet Bath Pouf and Soap Saver as a part of the Dreamsicle Spa Set. Now, it’s time for the next pattern in the series, Crochet Face Scrubbie!

Crochet Face Scrubbie
No Spa Set can be complete without the addition of a Face Scrubbie. You use a cotton swab to remove your makeup at the end of the day before you relax. This crochet Face Scrubbie is an eco-friendly and sustainable alternative to use-and-throw cotton balls as you can reuse it multiple times.
The Crochet Face Scrubbie pattern is simple to follow and it is beginner-friendly. You need the basic understanding of chain stitch, double crochet, and slip stitch.
The Face Scrubbie free crochet pattern uses a super-absorbent cotton yarn that is durable and able to withstand multiple uses. As it is a cotton yarn, it is gentle on your skin and can help in removing makeup without being too harsh on the skin. It is re-useable, eco-friendly, and you can easily launder it in a garment bag without any worries.
A Face Scrubbie is not only an excellent addition to any Spa Set but it can also be added to your daily skin care routine independently. Just wipe your face with the Face Scrubbie at the end of the day for removing any makeup and cleansing for your nighttime routine.
Size of Finished Face Scrubbie
The finished Face Scrubbie measure 3″ (or 7.5 cm) in diameter.
Materials
- 4.5 mm (US 7) crochet hook from Clover
- Any worsted weight (medium / #4 / 8-ply) cotton yarn in the color of your choice. We used Lily Sugar n Cream in Creamsicle color. This yarn is a good choice as it is 100% cotton and has a huge variety of colors to suit your taste.
- Tapestry needle to weave in the ends
- Scissors
Gauge
10 sts = 2.75″ (or 7.0 cm) in single crochet
Pattern Notes
- The pattern is written in US terms.
- Starting ch 2 does not count as a stitch.
- It is preferable to use a cotton yarn as it will be soft on your skin and of course, it’s good for the environment!

Pattern
Row 1: Starting with a magic ring, ch 2, 12 dc into the ring, sl st into top of 1st dc. Pull and close the magic ring tightly. (12 dc)
Row 2: ch 2, 2 dc in BLO in same st as ch 2, * 2 dc in BLO of next st; rep from * to end, sl st into top of 1st dc. (24 dc)
Row 3: ch 2, 2 dc in BLO in same st as ch 2, dc in BLO of next st, * 2 dc in BLO of next st, dc in BLO of next st; rep from * to end, sl st into top of 1st dc. (36 dc)
Row 4: sl st into each st around. (36 st)
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
