Pennant Knitting Stitch | Knit with Aabhar

Pattern Description

Pennant knitting stitch is a simple design featuring columns of interlocking triangle flags made with stockinette and reverse stockinette stitches. It’s reversible knitting pattern that looks gorgeous on both sides, and it lays flat! So, no need to worry about curly edges.

It’s very similar to the Pique Triangle stitch, except the triangles are arranged differently.

k	Knit
p	Purl
rep	Repeat
RS	Right side
st (s)	Stitch (es)
WS	Wrong side

Pattern Instructions

CO a multiple of 5 stitches. For example, you can cast on 5 x 5 = 25 stitches to knit a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):	Knit.
Row 2:	* k1, p4; rep from * to end.
Row 3:	* k3, p2; rep from * to end.
Row 4:	Rep Row 3.
Row 5:	Rep Row 2.
Row 6:	Knit.
Row 7:	Knit.
Row 8:	* p4, k1; rep from * to end.
Row 9:	* p2, k3; rep from * to end.
Row 10:	Rep Row 9.
Row 11:	Rep Row 8.
Row 12:	Knit.

Repeat this free knit pattern (12 rows) until you have reached the desired length for your work.
