Little Bobble Stitch | Crochet with Aabhar
Little Bobble Crochet Stitch adds great amount of texture to any project. Unlike the usual bobble stitch, this one is made using single crochet stitches and is a 4-stitch bobble (4-single crochet bobble).
The pattern repeats over 6 stitches and 4 rows and is quite easy to learn but uses a lot of yarn.

Abbreviations
This free pattern is written using US crochet terms.

Special stitch:
4sc bobble (4scb):
- 4sc in the indicated st.
- Take the hook out of the yarn making the loop longer & hold the work so it does not unravel.
- Insert hook from front to back of work into the 1st sc made in Step 1.
- Pick up the open loop and pull through to front of work, bringing it to normal yarn tension.
Pattern Instructions
Foundation ch: (Multiple of 6 ch) + 2 ch, plus 1 beg ch.
For example, start with (6 x 3) + 2 + 1 = 21 ch for a sample swatch.
| Row 1 (RS): | 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, * ch1, sk next ch, 1 [4scb] in next ch, ch1, sk next ch, 1sc in next ch; rep from * to last ch, 1sc in last ch, turn. |
| Row 2: | ch1, 1sc in 1st sc, * ch1, 1sc on top of [4scb], ch1, 1sc in next ch1-sp; rep from * to last sc, 1sc in last sc, turn. |
| Row 3: | ch1, 1sc in 1st sc, ch1, 1sc in next ch1-sp, * ch1, 1 [4scb] in next ch1-sp, ch1, 1sc in next ch1-sp; rep from * to last 3 sts, ch1, 1sc in next ch1-sp, 1sc in last sc, turn. |
| Row 4: | ch1, 1sc in 1st sc, ch1, 1sc in next ch1-sp, * ch1, 1sc on top of [4scb], ch1, 1sc in next ch1-sp; rep from * to last 3 sts, ch1, 1sc in next ch1-sp, 1sc in last sc, turn. |
| Row 5: | ch1, 1sc in 1st sc, * ch1, 1 [4scb] in next ch1-sp, ch1, 1sc in next ch1-sp; rep from * to last ch, 1sc in last ch, turn. |
Repeat Rows 2 – 5 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
