Crochet with Aabhar – Moss Crochet Stitch
Moss Crochet Stitch is a popular stitch with many names, including Linen Stitch, Granite Stitch, and Woven Stitch, amongst a few. It’s a beautiful and easy-to-learn crochet stitch that creates a stretchy fabric.
The Moss Stitch only involves two basic stitches – the chain stitch (ch) and the single crochet (sc) stitch. The pattern is worked over a row of alternating single crochet and chain stitches. And the next row is basically the same thing in reverse, where single crochet stitches are made in the chain spaces (ch-sp) and chain stitches over the single crochet. Even though it’s a simple stitch, advanced crocheters will find it fascinating enough as it works beautifully in planned pooling projects.
It’s a great crochet stitch for creating straight-edge fabrics. The pattern doesn’t curl up on the sides and creates a straight edge.
