Arruga Crochet Stitch | Crochet with Aabhar

Arruga Crochet Stitch features front post and back post single crochet stitches, giving the crocheted fabric a nice texture.

This reversible crochet stitch may look complicated, but is quite easy to learn and master. Repeating over 2 stitches and 4 rows, this crochet stitch is perfect for making blankets, washcloths, chunky sweaters, and afghans.

Pattern Instructions

Foundation ch: (Multiple of 2) + 1, plus 3 beg ch.
For example, start with (2 x 10) + 1 + 3 = 24 ch for a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):	1dc in 4th ch from hook, * 1dc in next ch; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 2:	ch1, 1sc in 1st dc, * 1bpsc in next dc, 1fpsc in next dc; rep from * to last dc, 1sc in top of t-ch, turn.
Row 3:	ch3 (counts as 1dc), * 1dc in next st; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 4:	ch1, 1sc in 1st dc, * 1fpsc in next dc, 1bpsc in next dc; rep from * to last dc, 1sc in top of t-ch, turn.
Row 5:	Rep Row 3.

Repeat Rows 2 – 5 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
