Crochet with Aabhar – Vintage Fan Ripple Stitch
Vintage Fan Ripple stitch is a visually gorgeous yet simple crochet stitch that will take your crocheting skills to the next level. It is a ripple crochet pattern featuring tall, raised, and wavy stitches. Visually, it also looks quite similar to repeating ‘acorn’ motifs arranged in rows.
You can learn and make it pretty fast despite it looking like a complex crochet pattern. Vintage Fan Ripple crochet stitch is created by working rows of single crochet stitches spread in between groups of double treble crochet stitches. The double treble crochet stitches are quite tall, with yarn over three times before taking them off the loop, making the pattern work up quickly in length. The motif repeats over 9 stitches, and the whole pattern is worked over 6 rows.
You can pair this vintage crochet pattern with just about any yarn in your stash, starting from lightweight to super bulky yarn. A textured yarn will give the pattern an interesting appearance, but you can also go for single-colored yarns for every repeat for a vibrant look.
