Single Lace Rib Stitch Pattern is a beautiful and delicate pattern. It essentially makes the regular rib stitch much more fancy and pretty. The pattern does not create an excessive stretchy fabric like the traditional ribbing. It looks like parallel vertical columns of alternating lace eyelets and stockinette stitch.

The Single Lace Rib Stitch Pattern is well suited for making lace blankets, scarves, wraps, and shawls. You can use the pattern overall, or you can create a panel to add a little bit of texture to your project.

Pattern Instructions

CO (Multiple of 4 sts) + 2 sts. For example, you can cast on (4 x 5) + 2 = 22 stitches to knit a sample swatch.

Row 1:	(RS) – k2, * k2tog, yf, k2; rep from * to end.
Row 2:	Purl.
Row 3:	k2, * p1, k3; rep from * to end.
Row 4:	Purl.

Repeat this free knit pattern (4 rows) until you have reached the desired length for your work.
