
Crochet with Aabhar – Long Wave Stitch

The Long Wave crochet stitch is a perfect stitch for beginners and experienced crocheters as it works up quickly. It is a 4-row repeat pattern that repeats over 14 stitches.
You can create this gorgeous waveform by using basic stitches, namely single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet stitch. Basically, the magic of this stitch comes from combining stitches of different heights. In addition, it also has some texture at the top end of the waves.

Note: Change to a different color yarn while making the last stitch of the previous row for smooth color change.

Row 2: | [Color A] ch1, 1sc in 1st st, * 1sc in next st; rep from * to end, turn. Change to Color B. |
Row 3: | [Color B] ch3 (counts as 1tr), * 1tr in next sc, 1dc in next 2 sc, 1hdc in next 2 sc, 1sc in next 3 sc, 1hdc in next 2 sc, 1dc in next 2 sc, 1tr in next 2 sc; rep from * to end, turn. |
Row 4: | [Color B] ch1, 1sc in 1st st, * 1sc in next st; rep from * to end, turn. Change to Color A. |

Repeat Rows 2 – 5 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work, ending the work on a Row 4.
