Beaded Braid Crochet Stitch | Crochet with Aabhar

Beaded Braid crochet stitch features prominent, solid horizontal lines that look like crocheted cords or braided ridges. Between the cord rows are rows of a more textured stitch, clusters of double crochet. The resulting fabric is quite thick, dense, and warm.

While it is dense and warm, it is also flexible, making it perfect for winter wearable projects.

Pattern Instructions

Foundation ch: Multiple of 3, plus 3 beg ch.
For example, start with (3 x 6) + 3 = 27 ch for a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):	[1dc, ch1, 1dc] in 4th ch from hook, * sk next 2 ch, [1dc, ch1, 1dc] in next ch; rep from * to last 2 ch, sk next ch, 1dc in last ch, turn.
Row 2:	ch2 (counts as 1dc), * 1fpdc in next dc, ch1, 1fpdc in next dc; rep from * to t-ch, 1dc in t-ch, turn.
Row 3:	ch2 (counts as 1dc), * [1dc, ch1, 1dc] in next ch1-sp; rep from * to t-ch, 1dc in t-ch, turn.

Repeat Rows 2 & 3 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
