Double Waffle Crochet Stitch | Crochet with Aabhar

Double Waffle Crochet is a highly textured stitch with soft and squishy feel. It’s similar to the classic Waffle stitch, except with a set of two post stitches separating each box.

It is a beginner friendly crochet pattern that’s quite addictive to make. You can use any type of yarn to make this textured pattern.

Pattern Instructions

Foundation ch: (Multiple of 4 ch) + 3 ch, plus 3 beg ch.
For example, start with (4 x 4) + 3 + 3 = 22 ch for a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):	1dc in 4th ch from hook, * 1dc in next ch; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 2:	ch2 (counts as 1dc), 1fpdc in next 2 sts, * 1dc in next 2 sts, 1fpdc in next 2 sts; rep from * to t-ch, 1dc in t-ch, turn.
Row 3:	ch2 (counts as 1dc), 1dc in next 2 sts, * 1fpdc in next 2 sts, 1dc in next 2 sts; rep from * to t-ch, 1dc in t-ch, turn.

Repeat Rows 2 & 3 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
