Crochet with Aabhar – Inverted Triangle Crochet Stitch

Inverted Triangle crochet stitch is a simple yet elegant stitch that looks like Christmas trees when flipped over! You can try definitely try this out for your Christmas in July patterns to get in the spirit. It features upsidedown triangle motifs arranged in columns.

Despite its openwork lacy design, this beginner-friendly crochet pattern works well with any type of yarn. Each ‘inverted triangle’ motif repeats over 10 stitches and 3 rows. The motifs have no offset arrangement, so its a pretty simple pattern. With just chain stitches and double crochet, you can master the Inverted Triangle crochet stitch in no time.

Row 2:	ch5 (counts as 1dc and ch2), 2dc in 1st dc, 1dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc, * ch2, 1dc in next dc, ch2, 2dc in next dc, 1dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc; rep from * to last 4 sts, ch2, sk next 3 ch of t-ch, 1dc in next ch of t-ch, turn.
Row 3:	ch4 (counts as 1dc and ch1), 2dc in 1st dc, 1dc in next 3 dc, 2dc in next dc, * ch1, 1dc in next dc, ch1, 2dc in next dc, 1dc in next 3 dc, 2dc in next dc; rep from * to last 3 sts, ch1, sk next 2 ch of t-ch, 1dc in next ch of t-ch, turn.
Row 4:	ch6 (counts as 1dc and ch3), sk next 3 dc, 3dc in next dc, * ch3, sk next 3 dc, 1dc in next dc, ch3, sk next 3 dc, 3dc in next dc; rep from * to last 5 sts, ch3, sk next 3 dc, sk next ch of t-ch, 1dc in next ch of t-ch, turn.

Repeat Rows 2 – 4 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
