bpsc	back post single crochet
ch	chain
dc	double crochet
rep	repeat
sc	single crochet
sk	skip
st (s)	stitch (es)
t-ch	turning chain

Special stitches:

curve-st:

1. Turn work downward so that the other side of work is facing you.
2. 2sc along the post of next dc working from top of dc to bottom of dc.
3. Turn work a bit clockwise, sk next dc.
4. 2sc along the post of next dc working from bottom of dc to top of dc.
5. Turn work upward so that working side is facing you again.

Pattern Instructions

Foundation ch: (Multiple of 6) + 5, plus 1 beg ch.
For example, start with (6 x 4) + 5 + 1 = 30 ch for a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):	1sc in 2nd ch from hook, * 1sc in next ch; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 2:	ch2 (counts as 1dc), * 1dc in next sc; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 3:	ch1, 1sc in 1st dc, * curve-st in next 3 dc, 1sc in next 3 dc; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 4:	ch1, 1sc in 1st sc, * 1sc in next 3 sc, 1bpsc in next 3 sc 2 rows below; rep from * to last st, 1sc in last st, turn.
Row 5:	ch1, 1sc in 1st sc, * 1sc in next st; rep from * to end, turn.

Repeat Rows 2 – 5 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
