Lattice Waffle Crochet Stitch | Crochet with Aabhar

Lattice Waffle crochet stitch looks very much like the classic Waffle Crochet stitch with the signature architectural grid, reminiscent of a Belgian waffle. 

The crocheted fabric is exceptionally plush and ‘squishy’ to the touch. Because the pattern uses fpdc and bpdc stitches, it does eats up a lot of yarn.

Pattern Instructions

Foundation ch: (Multiple of 4) + 2, plus 3 beg ch.
For example, start with (4 x 6) + 2 + 3 = 29 ch for a sample swatch.

Row 1 (WS):	1dc in 4th ch from hook, * 1dc in next ch; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 2:	ch3 (counts as 1dc), * 1fptr in next dc, 1dc in next 3 dc; rep from * to last 2 sts, 1fptr in next dc, 1dc in t-ch, turn.
Row 3:	ch2 (counts as 1hdc), * 1bpdc in next fptr, 1fpdc in next 3 dc; rep from * to last 2 sts, 1bpdc in next fptr, 1hdc in t-ch, turn.
Row 4:	ch3 (counts as 1dc), * 1fptr in next bpdc, 1dc in next 3 fpdc; rep from * to last 2 sts, 1fptr in next bpdc, 1dc in t-ch, turn.

Repeat Rows 3 & 4 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
