Wedge Crochet Stitch | Crochet with Aabhar

Wedge Crochet Stitch is an arrangement of box (or leaf) like motifs. They sort of look like knitted-mitered squares, and they are all connected at the corners. The stitches of increasing height, namely sc, hdc, dc, tr, and dtr, create the ‘wedge’ shape.

The Wedge Crochet Stitch is super easy, and it’s just a two-row repeat, with each motif being 7 stitches long. Unlike most crochet patterns, this does not work in a rectangle or square shape; rather, it is a rhombus. So, if you are planning to use it to make wearables, keep that in mind. Working on projects with a larger surface area will be easier.

The crochet stitch pattern is similar on both sides. It is not very solid but can work well in different projects, including the lacy projects. You can work it in a variety of yarns and colors. We are using a solid color in the tutorial., but as the stitch is worked in rows, you can choose multiple colors to make your crocheted fabric vibrant.

Thank you so much for your tutorials! They are the best I’ve found on internet and I read a ton of crochet blogs and websites.
The crochet charts are so usefull, they are well drawn with colours and the fact it’s in one single image with both a picture of the stitch and the diagram is very handfull to save it and look back when needed. Plus, the stitches are not the ones you see everywhere, it’s nice to discover new ones.
