Double Trellis Crochet Stitch | Crochet with Aabhar
Double Trellis is one of the easiest lace crochet stitches featuring a lattice-like network of single crochet stitches. The beginner-friendly crochet pattern repeats over 6 stitches and 3-rows.
You can use this crochet pattern for any summer wearable projects, from shawls to tops. It will also make up for a sturdy market bag if you use a thicker yarn. Just ensure you use an appropriate size hook for the selected yarn.

Pattern Instructions
Foundation ch: (any multiple of 6) + 1, plus 1 beg ch. For example, start with (6 x 5) + 1 + 1 = 32 ch for a sample swatch.
| Row 1 (RS): | 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, * 1sc in next ch; rep from * to end, turn. |
| Row 2: | ch1, 1sc in 1st sc, * 1sc in next sc, ch7, sk next 3 sc, 1sc in next 2 sc; rep from * to end, turn. |
| Row 3: | ch1, 1sc in 1st sc, * sk next sc, ch4, 1sc in next ch7-sp, ch4, sk next sc, 1sc in next sc; rep from * to end, turn. |
| Row 4: | ch8 (counts as 1dtr and ch3), 1sc in 1st ch4-sp, * 1sc in next sc, 1sc in next ch4-sp, ch7, 1sc in next ch4-sp; rep from * to before last ch4-sp, 1sc in next sc, 1sc in last ch4-sp, ch3, 1dtr in last sc, turn. |
| Row 5: | ch1, 1sc in dtr, * ch4, sk next sc, 1sc in next sc, sk next sc, ch4, 1sc in next ch7-sp; rep from * to last ch7-sp, ch4, sk next sc, 1sc in next sc, sk next sc, ch4, 1sc in 4th ch of t-ch, turn. |

Repeat Rows 3 – 6 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.

Hello. Thank you for the free pattern. I just have an inquiry. If I want to make this into a table runner, how would I finish the last row/edge?

Hi Cristina, if you are using our instructions, we suggest ending at row 5 and then you can add fringe to your runner for a little bit of a boho look to it. A traditional fringe can be made by cutting several strands of yarn in equal lengths and then attaching them to your runner. For more stylish fringes you can search on YouTube, you can find various options.
