
Crochet with Aabhar – Basket Crochet Stitch
Basket crochet stitch is a simple pattern resembling tiny Easter baskets stacked in rows. Featuring basic crochet stitches, you can master this stitch in no time!
It is an openwork crochet pattern that you can make in any type of yarn, even the bulky ones. Each ‘basket’ motif repeats over 2 rows and 5 stitches. Using it in large fabric projects will showcase the stitch prominently.

Pattern Instructions
Foundation ch: (any multiple of 5) + 2, plus 3.
Row 1 (RS): | 5dc in 7th ch from hook, * sk next 4 ch, 5dc in next ch; rep from * to last 3 ch, sk next 2 ch, 1dc in last ch, turn. |
Row 2: | ch1, 1sc in 1st dc, * ch5, 1sc in sp bet next 2 5dc-shells; rep from * to last 5dc-shell, ch5, 1sc in sp bet last 5dc-shell and t-ch, turn. |
Row 3: | ch3 (counts as 1dc), * 5dc in 3rd ch of next ch5-sp; rep from * to last ch5-sp, 1dc in last sc, turn. |
Repeat Rows 2 & 3 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
