Pattern Instructions

Foundation ch: (Multiple of 2) + 1, plus 3 beg ch.
For example, start with (2 x 12) + 1 + 3 = 27 ch for a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):	1dc in 4th ch from hook, * 1dc in next ch; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 2:	ch1, sl st in 1st st, * sl st in next st; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 3:	ch3 (counts as 1dc), sk next sl st, * 1fpdc in next dc 2 rows below, 1dc in prev st skipped sl st crossing at the back of fpdc just made, sk next sl st; rep from * to last sl st, 1dc in last sl st, turn.

Repeat Rows 2 & 3 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
