Featuring a lot of knitting into back of next stitch, Twisted Check knitting stitch is a highly textured pattern. It looks almost like tiny braided or woven rows stacked closely together. 

The knitted fabric is soft, making it well-suited for projects that need structure and warmth, like blankets, scarves, or cardigans.

CO	Cast on
k	Knit
KB1	Knit into back of next stitch
p	Purl
rep	Repeat
RS	Right side
st (s)	Stitch (es)
WS	Wrong side

Pattern Instructions

CO (Multiple of 4 stitches) + 2 stitches. For example, you can cast on (4 x 6) + 2 = 26 stitches to knit a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):	* KB1; rep from * to end.
Row 2:	Purl.
Row 3:	[KB1] twice, * p2, [KB1] twice; rep from * to end.
Row 4:	p2, * k2, p2; rep from * to end.
Row 5:	Rep Row 1.
Row 6:	Rep Row 2.
Row 7:	p2, * [KB1] twice, p2; rep from * to end.
Row 8:	k2, * p2, k2; rep from * to end.

Repeat these free knitting pattern instructions (8 rows) until you have reached the desired length for your work.
