Small Inverted Triangles Crochet Stitch | Crochet with Aabhar
Small Inverted Triangles looks like the Inverted Triangles stitch, except the triangle here is made with 3-dc cluster stitch. The overall motif is also much smaller.
The pattern repeats over 4 rows and 6 stitches, making it an easy one to learn. It’s also very airy so you can make summer blankets or wraps with this one. Even crocheted tops will look great featuring this pattern.

Special stitch:
3dc-cl: (3 double crochet cluster stitch) – [yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull through stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops] x 3 times (4 loops should remain on the hook now), yarn over and pull through all remaining loops on the hook.
Pattern Instructions
Foundation ch: (Multiple of 6) + 1, plus 1 beg ch.
For example, start with (6 x 4) + 1 + 1 = 26 ch for a sample swatch.
| Row 1 (WS): | 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, * ch7, sk next 5 ch, 1sc in next ch; rep from * to end, turn. |
| Row 2: | ch5 (counts as 1dc & ch2), * 1sc in next ch7-sp, ch2, 1 x [3dc-cl] in next sc, ch2; rep from * to last ch7-sp, 1sc in last ch7-sp, ch2, 1dc in last sc, turn. |
| Row 3: | ch6 (counts as 1dc & ch3), 1sc in next sc, * ch7, 1sc in next sc; rep from * to t-ch, ch3, 1dc in t-ch, turn. |
| Row 4: | ch1, 1sc in 1st dc, * ch2, 1 x [3dc-cl] in next sc, ch2, 1sc in next ch7-sp; rep from * to last ch7-sp, ch2, 1 x [3dc-cl] in next sc, ch2, 1sc in t-ch, turn. |
| Row 5: | ch1, 1sc in 1st sc, * ch7, 1sc in next sc; rep from * to end, turn. |
Repeat Rows 2 – 5 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
