Pattern Description
Scallop Brick Stitch Pattern is an excellent textured knitting pattern that looks like an arrangement of shingles on a roof. It’s basically a combination of knits and purls along with the slip stitches. Scallop Brick Stitch Pattern is a great knitting pattern for beginners.
It is not a reversible knitting pattern. This pattern works well on large fabrics like blankets and afghans and other home decor items like cushions and pillows.

CO (Multiple of 8) + 6. For example, you can cast on (8 x 2) + 6 = 22 stitches to knit a sample swatch.

Row 3: | * k6, [sl purlwise wyif] twice; rep from * to last 6 sts, k6. |
Row 4: | * p6, [sl purlwise wyib] twice; rep from * to last 6 sts, p6. |

Row 6: | Rep Row 4. |
Row 7: | Rep Row 3. |
Row 8: | Purl. |
Row 9: | Purl. |
Row 10: | Knit. |
Row 11: | k2, [sl purlwise wyif] twice, * k6, [sl purlwise wyif] twice; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2. |
