Ridged Openwork is a fancy all-over lace knitting pattern with a lot of visually twisted stitches and looks similar to Open Check stitch.

It is perfect for your spring and summer projects and the pattern is super easy to follow. This decorative knitting pattern also looks good in blankets and other home decor projects.

This free knit pattern is written in US terms. You can also check out other common knit abbreviations. 

CO	Cast on
k	Knit
p	Purl
p2tog	Purl 2 stitches together
rep	Repeat
RS	Right side
st (s)	Stitch (es)
WS	Wrong side
yo	Yarn over

Special stitch:

m1 – (Make 1 stitch): pick up the horizontal strand of yarn lying between stitch just made and next stitch using left needle, and purl it.

Pattern Instructions

---

CO (Multiple of 2 stitches) + 1 stitch. For example, you can cast on (11 x 2) + 1 = 23 stitches to knit a sample swatch.

Note: Stitches should only be counted after the 1st, 3rd or 4th rows of the pattern.

Row 1 (RS):	Purl.
Row 2:	* p2tog; rep from * to last st, p1.
Row 3:	p1, * m1, p1; rep from * to end.
Row 4:	p1, * yo, p2tog; rep from * to end.

Repeat this free knit pattern (4 rows) until you have reached the desired length for your work.
