Pattern Description
Open Check Stitch is a simple, easy knitting pattern involving basic lace-making stitches like k2tog and yo. This intricate-looking pattern is worked over a 6-row repeat and grows surprisingly fast.
You may use this beginner-friendly knitting pattern to make projects like cushions, pillows, and dishcloths. Despite being an open lacework pattern, you can choose any type of yarn from your stash to knit the Open Check Stitch.

Pattern Instructions
CO a multiple of 2 stitches. For example, you can cast on (12 x 2) = 24 stitches to knit a sample swatch.

Row 2: | Knit. |
Row 3: | k1, * k1, sl 1 wyib; rep from * to last st, k1. |
Row 4: | k1, * sl 1 wyif, k1; rep from * to last st, k1. |
Row 5: | k1, * yo, k2tog; rep from * to last st, k1. |
Row 6: | Purl. |
