Crochet Iris Stitch | Crochet with Aabhar
Crochet Iris Stitch is a simple and elegant stitch that repeats over one row. You can make it in no time if you are familiar with basic crochet stitches, the double crochet and chain stitch. It’s a type of V stitch where double crochet stitches are separated on each side by a chain. There are two double crochet stitches on each side of the ‘V’ arm.
Beyond the foundation chain, all the stitches are crocheted in chain spaces, which makes it perfect for multitasking! You can crochet it while watching your favorite show – it’s just that easy!
The crocheted fabric is very light as it is an openwork pattern and it doesn’t eat too much yarn.

Pattern Instructions
Foundation ch: Multiple of 4, plus 3 beg ch.
For example, start with (4 x 5) + 3 = 23 ch for a sample swatch.
| Row 1 (RS): | [2dc, ch1, 2dc] in 5th ch from hook, * sk next 3 ch, [2dc, ch1, 2dc] in next ch; rep from * to last 2 ch, sk next ch, 1dc in last ch, turn. |
| Row 2: | ch3 (counts as 1dc), * [2dc, ch1, 2dc] in next ch1-sp; rep from * to end, 1dc in t-ch, turn. |
Repeat Row 2 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
