Inverted Basket Stitch Pattern is a simple pattern with basic knits, purls, and many eyelets. It is a textured pattern that is worked over 12 rows and repeating multiple of twelve stitches plus three stitches.

Its name comes from the way it looks like an inverted Easter egg basket with a handle. The garter stitches make up the basket, while the eyelets highlight the handle.

Inverted Basket Stitch Pattern is an embossed knitting pattern that’s perfect for knitting projects where you require less openwork, such as a sweater or jumper.

CO (Multiple of 12) + 3 sts. For example, you can cast on (12 x 2) + 3 = 27 stitches to knit a sample swatch.

Row 1:	(RS) k1, * k2, yo, ssk, k5, k2tog, yo, k1; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 2:	p2, * p3, k5, p4; rep from * to last st, p1.
Row 3:	k1, * k3, yo, ssk, k3, k2tog, yo, k2; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 4:	p2, * p4, k3, p5; rep from * to last st, p1.
Row 5:	k1, * k4, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, k3; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 6:	p2, * p5, k1, p6; rep from * to last st, k1.
Row 7:	k1, * k3, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, ssk, k2; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
