Honeycomb Mesh Crochet Stitch | Crochet with Aabhar

Honeycomb Mesh crochet stitch is basically a mesh stitch where each eyelet looks a little bit like the Honeycomb crochet stitch, though much simpler to make.

The crocheted fabric is airy and stiff enough to feature in any crochet project. This simple crochet pattern repeats over 5 stitches and 2 rows.

Pattern Instructions

Foundation ch: (Multiple of 5) + 7, plus 3 beg ch.
For example, start with (5 x 4) + 7 + 3 = 30 ch for a sample swatch.

Row 1 (WS):	[1dc, ch5, 1dc] in 7th ch from hook, * sk next 4 ch, [1dc, ch5, 1dc] in next ch; rep from * to last 3 ch, sk next 2 ch, 1dc in last ch, turn.
Row 2:	ch3 (counts as 1dc), * 1dc in next dc, 3sc in next ch5-sp, 1dc in next dc; rep from * to t-ch, 1dc in t-ch, turn.
Row 3:	ch3 (counts as 1dc), sk next 2 sts, [1dc, ch5, 1dc] in next sc, * sk next 4 sts, [1dc, ch5, 1dc] in next sc; rep from * to last 3 sts, sk next 2 sts, 1dc in t-ch, turn.

Repeat Rows 2 & 3 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
