Special stitches:
foundation-invert-v:
- yarn over hook twice, insert hook into same ch as prev st, yarn over hook and pull through.
- [yarn over hook and pull through 2 loops] x 2 times.
- with 2 loops remaining on hook, yarn over hook twice, sk next 2 ch, insert hook into next ch, yarn over hook and pull through.
- [yarn over hook and pull through 2 loops] x 2 times.
- yarn over hook and pull through remaining 3 loops.
invert-v:
- yarn over hook twice, insert hook into same ch2-sp as prev st (or into 1st ch1-sp at beginning of row), yarn over hook and pull through.
- [yarn over hook and pull through 2 loops] x 2 times.
- with 2 loops remaining on hook, yarn over hook twice, insert hook into next ch2-sp (or into t-ch at end of row), yarn over hook and pull through.
- [yarn over hook and pull through 2 loops] x 2 times.
- yarn over hook and pull through remaining 3 loops.
Pattern Instructions
Foundation ch: (any multiple of 3), plus 4.
For example, start with (3 x 5) + 4 = 22 ch for a sample swatch.
Note: To make this crochet pattern, you need a minimum of 10 foundation chains.
Row 1 (RS): | 1tr in 7th ch from hook, * ch2, foundation-invert-v; rep from * to end, ch1, 1tr in same last st, turn. |
Row 2: | ch4 (counts as 1tr), invert-v, * ch2, invert-v; rep from * to end, ch1, 1tr in t-ch, turn. |
Repeat Row 2 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
