Crochet Brick Stitch | Crochet with Aabhar

Crochet Brick stitch is very easy to make if you know how to do single and double crochet stitches. The texture comes from the two stitches being made through front loop. It looks remarkably similar to the Brick stitch knitting pattern.

Each brick motif is 4 stitches long and repeats every 4 rows and the overall crocheted fabric has a nice texture.

Pattern Instructions

Foundation ch: (Multiple of 4) + 1, plus 2 beg ch.
For example, start with (4 x 5) + 1 + 2 = 23 ch for a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):	1dc in 3rd ch from hook, * 1dc in next ch; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 2:	ch1, 1sc in 1st dc, * 1sc flo in next dc; rep from * to last dc, 1sc in last dc, turn.
Row 3:	ch2, 1dc in 1st sc, * 1dc in next dc flo 2 rows below, 1dc in next 3 sc; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 4:	Rep Row 2.
Row 5:	ch2, 1dc in 1st sc, 1dc in next 2 sc, * 1dc in next dc flo 2 rows below, 1dc in next 3 sc; rep from * to last 2 sc, 1dc in next dc flo 2 rows below 1dc in last sc, turn.

Repeat Rows 2 – 5 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
