Crinkle Crochet stitch creates a delicate yet highly textured fabric. And the best part, the texture is similar on both sides, so it’s reversible and there’s no front and back.

Featuring post stitches, the pattern has a motif that repeats over 2 stitches and 4 rows. There’s both types of post stitches – front and back post single crochet in the pattern.

Pattern Instructions

Foundation ch: (Multiple of 2) + 1, plus 2 beg ch.
For example, start with (2 x 10) + 1 + 2 = 23 ch for a sample swatch.

Row 1 (WS):	1hdc in 3rd ch from hook, * 1hdc in next ch; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 2:	ch1, 1sc in 1st st, * 1fpdc in next hdc, 1bpsc in next hdc; rep from * to t-ch, 1sc in t-ch, turn.
Row 3:	ch2 (counts as 1hdc), * 1hdc in next st; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 4:	ch1, 1sc in 1st st, * 1bpsc in next hdc, 1fpsc in next hdc; rep from * to t-ch, 1sc in t-ch, turn.
Row 5:	Rep Row 3.

Repeat Rows 2 – 5 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
