Colorful Speckle Rib knitting stitch is a variation of the basic Speckle Rib but a whole lot more colorful and vibrant. Unlike usual color work knitting patterns, there’s a little difference here. There’s no fixed rows for a color. The color change shifts with each row.

The colorful pattern is ideal for any type of project, wherever you want a little splash of vibrancy and a little texture.

This free knit pattern is written in US terms. You can also check out other common knit abbreviations. 

CO	Cast on
k	Knit
p	Purl
rep	Repeat
RS	Right side
sl	Slip stitch
st (s)	Stitch (es)
WS	Wrong side
wyif	With yarn in front

Pattern Instructions

---

CO (Multiple of 2 stitches) + 1 stitch. For example, you can cast on (2 x 10) + 1 = 21 stitches to knit a sample swatch.

Note: Use 3 different color yarns (Color A, Color B and Color C).

Beginning with Row 1, make 2 rows in Color A, 2 rows in Color B and 2 rows in Color C throughout. There will be shift in colors while repeating the pattern, not like there’s fixed row for each color (unlike most other color work patterns).

Row 1 (RS):	Knit.
Row 2:	Purl.
Row 3:	k1, * sl 1 purlwise, k1; rep from * to end.
Row 4:	Knit.
Row 5:	Knit.
Row 6:	Purl.
Row 7:	k2, * sl 1 purlwise, k1; rep from * to last st, k1.
Row 8:	k2, * sl 1 purlwise wyif, k1; rep from * to last st, k1.

Repeat this free knit pattern (8 rows) until you have reached the desired length for your work.
