Bear Claw knitting pattern is like a fan style stitch where it essentially looks like a bear’s paw with claws separated by reverse stockinette on a background of stockinette stitches.

The pattern has a scalloped edge making it perfect for knitting a blanket or an afghan.

CO multiple of 23 sts for the panel and a few extra on both sides to make up the stockinette st background. For example, you can cast on 4 (background) + 23 (panel) + 4 (background) = 31 stitches for a sample swatch. 

Row 1 of Panel (RS):	k2, [p4, k1] x 3 times, p4, k2.
Row 2 of Panel:	p2, [k4, p1] x 3 times, k4, p2.
Row 3 of Panel:	k1, yo, k1, p2, p2tog, [k1, p4] x 2 times, k1, p2tog, p2, k1, yo, k1.
Row 4 of Panel:	p3, k2, p2, k4, p1, k4, p2, k2, p3.
