Ridged Knot Stitch features “X” or star-like shapes, framed and separated by horizontal ridge-like rows. The knots create a dimensional and decorative effect on the knitted fabric.

It’s ideal for projects that benefit from colorwork and texture, like blankets, cushion covers, bags, or even jackets.

CO	Cast on
k	Knit
p	Purl
p3tog	Purl 3 stitches together
rep	Repeat
RS	Right side
st (s)	Stitch (es)
WS	Wrong side
yrn	Yarn round needle (makes a stitch between 2 purl stitches)

Special stitch

MK: Make Knot – p3tog leaving stitches on the needle, yrn, then purl the same 3 stitches again.

Pattern Instructions

CO (Multiple of 3 stitches) + 2 stitches. For example, you can cast on (3 x 8) + 2 = 26 stitches to knit a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):	[Color A] Knit.
Row 2:	[Color A] k1, * MK; rep from * to last st, k1.
Row 3:	[Color B] Knit.
Row 4:	[Color B] Knit.
