Ocean Waves Crochet Stitch is just like what you would expect from the name. It is highly textured, reversible, waves-like looking crochet pattern that’s very voluminous. It’s again a yarn-eating pattern so before you start anything with it, make sure you have loads of yarn! Despite all that, it still has open spaces so it is airy.

If you are familiar with front post double crochet, you will have an easier time learning this one. The pattern is just 1 row repeat and the motif is 3 stitches long.

Pattern Instructions

Foundation ch: (Multiple of 3) + 2, plus 3 beg ch.
For example, start with (3 x 7) + 2 + 3 = 26 ch for a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):	1dc in 4th ch from hook, * 1dc in next ch; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 2:	ch3 (counts as 1dc), 3dc in next dc, * ch3, sk next 2 dc, 3dc in next dc; rep from * to t-ch, 1dc in t-ch, turn.
Row 3:	ch3 (counts as 1dc), sk next 2 dc, 3fpdc around next dc, * ch3, sk next 2 dc, 3fpdc around next dc; rep from * to t-ch, 1dc in t-ch, turn.

Repeat Row 3 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
