The Diamond Diagonal stitch features prominent diagonal stitches with lots of open lace work and diamond motifs in-between. It is very similar to the Diagonal Cable knitting pattern.

It creates a gorgeous, delicate, and airy knitting pattern that’s perfect for making wraps, shawls, and scarves.

CO (Multiple of 8 stitches) + 2 stitches. For example, you can cast on (8 x 3) + 2 = 26 stitches to knit a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):	k1, * yo, k2tog tbl, k6; rep from * to last st, k1.
Row 2:	k1, * yo, p2tog, k3, p2tog tbl, yo, k1; rep from * to last st, k1.
Row 3:	* k3, yo, k2tog tbl, k1, k2tog, yo; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 4:	k3, * yo, p3tog tbl, yo, k5; rep from * to last 7 sts, yo, p3tog tbl, yo, k4.
Row 5:	k5, * yo, k2tog tbl, k6; rep from * to last 5 sts, yo, k2tog tbl, k3.
Row 6:	k2, * p2tog tbl, yo, k1, yo, p2tog; rep from * to end.
Row 7:	k2, * k2tog, yo, k3, yo, k2tog tbl, k1; rep from * to end.
Row 8:	p2tog tbl, * yo, k5, yo, p3tog tbl; rep from * to last 8 sts, yo, k5, yo, p2tog, k1.
