Blueberry Crochet Stitch | Crochet with Aabhar
Featuring alternate arrangement of puff stitches and double crochet, Blueberry is an easy crochet stitch to learn. The pattern repeats over 4 rows and 6 stitches.
With all the puff stitches, the crocheted fabric is soft and feels very cuddly. The stitch can be used in a variety of projects, especially blankets and afghans because of its softness.

Special stitch:
3hdc-puff: [Yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull through] x 3 times in the same stitch, yarn over and pull through first 6 loops on hook, yarn over and pull through remaining 2 loops on hook.
Pattern Instructions
Foundation ch: (Multiple of 6) + 3, plus 1 beg ch.
For example, start with (6 x 3) + 3 + 1 = 22 ch for a sample swatch.
| Row 1 (WS): | 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, * 1sc in next ch; rep from * to end, turn. |
| Row 2: | ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc in next 2 sc, * ch1, sk next sc, 3hdc-puff in next sc, ch1, sk next sc, 1dc in next 3 sc; rep from * to end, turn. |
| Row 3: | ch1, 1sc in 1st 3 sts, * 1sc in next ch1-sp, 1sc in next st, 1sc in next ch1-sp, 1sc in next 3 sts; rep from * to end, making the last sc in t-ch, turn. |
| Row 4: | ch3 (counts as 1dc), 3hdc-puff in next sc, * ch1, sk next sc, 1dc in next 3 sc, ch1, sk next sc, 3hdc-puff in next sc; rep from * to last sc, 1dc in last sc, turn. |
| Row 5: | ch1, 1sc in 1st 2 sts, * 1sc in next ch1-sp, 1sc in next 3 sts, 1sc in next ch1-sp, 1sc in next st; rep from * to t-ch, 1sc in t-ch, turn. |
Repeat Rows 2 – 5 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
