4-Stitch Cable Pattern Featured

Pattern Description

4-Stitch Cable Pattern is a basic cable knitting pattern that is beginner-friendly. If you are just starting to learn to knit cable stitches, this cable pattern worked over four stitches and is an excellent choice to start with!

This cable pattern has two variations – Right Twist Cable and Left Twist Cable. Just as the name suggests, the Right Twist 4-Stitch Cable looks like it’s twisting towards the right, while the Left Twist 4-Stitch Cable twists to the left side. You can see the Right Twist Cable in the stitch chart.

To knit the Right Twist Cable, you need to Cable over 4 stitches to the back (or C4B), while for Left Twist Cable, you’ll need Cable over 4 stitches to the front (or C4F).

The 4-Stitch Cable Pattern can add texture and detail to any of your projects, be it scarves, socks, or sweaters. You can use it as an all-over cable pattern, as the knit cables are quite small.
