The Twisted Crochet stitch is a highly textured, lacy, and elegant pattern. The pattern repeats over 1 row and 2 stitches. Despite being a 1-row repeat, it’s a crochet stitch that requires a bit of a focus to make.

ch	chain
dc	double crochet
prev	previous
rep	repeat
sc	single crochet
sk	skip
st (s)	stitch (es)
t-ch	turning chain

Special stitch:

twist-st:

1. sk next sc, 1dc in next sc.
2. working behind the dc just made, 1dc in prev skipped sc.

Pattern Instructions

Foundation ch: Multiple of 2, plus 1 beg ch.
For example, start with (2 x 10) + 1 = 21 ch for a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):	1sc in 2nd ch from hook, * 1sc in next ch; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 2:	ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc in next sc, * twist-st in next sc; rep from * to last 2 sc, 1dc in last 2 sc, turn.
Row 3:	ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc in next dc, * twist-st in next dc; rep from * to last dc and t-ch, 1dc in last dc and t-ch, turn.

Repeat Row 3 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
