Trellis Pillars crochet stitch features alternating arrangement of pillar-like stitches and dc-shell stitches to create a wavy patterned fabric.
The crochet stitch pattern has a wavy ends, making it perfect for baby dresses or skirts. Each motif is 8 stitches long and the pattern repeats over a single row.

Pattern Instructions
Foundation ch: (Multiple of 8) + 2, plus 3 beg ch.
For example, start with (8 x 3) + 2 + 3 = 29 ch for a sample swatch.
| Row 1 (RS): | 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in next ch, * sk next 2 ch, (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in next ch, sk next 2 ch, 1dc in next 3 ch; rep from * to end, turn. |
| Row 2: | ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1fpdc in next dc, * 1fpdc in next dc, (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in next ch1-sp, 1fpdc in next 2 dc; rep from * to t-ch, 1dc in t-ch, turn. |
| Row 3: | ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1fpdc in next fpdc, * 1fpdc in next fpdc, (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in next ch1-sp, 1fpdc in next 2 fpdc; rep from * to t-ch, 1dc in t-ch, turn. |
Repeat Row 3 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
