Pattern Instructions

Foundation ch: (Multiple of 2) + 1, plus 3 beg ch.
For example, start with (2 x 10) + 1 + 3 = 24 ch for a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):	2dc in 5th ch from hook, * sk next ch, 2dc in next ch; rep from * to last ch, 1dc in last ch, turn.
Row 2:	ch1, 1sc in 1st dc, 1sc in sp bet prev and next dc, * ch1, 1sc in sp bet next 2 dc; rep from * to t-ch, ch1, 1sc in t-ch, turn.
Row 3:	ch1, 1sc in 1st sc, 1sc in next ch1-sp, * ch1, 1sc in next ch1-sp; rep from * to last 2 sc, ch1, sk next sc, 1sc in last sc, turn.
Row 4:	Rep Row 3.
Row 5:	ch3 (counts as 1dc), * 2dc in next ch1-sp; rep from * to last 2 sc, sk next sc, 1dc in last sc, turn.

Repeat Rows 2 – 5 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
